A Walk into Nature with The Master A Way of Life, #2【電子書籍】[ Mushin Ru ]

Item Number 19

This is a really small book and it contains nothing relevant worth thinking about. If you are in a hurry or simply do not feel like reading something pointless, I would suggest, do not waste any time getting into this. Only do, if you're tired of big promises and small deeds. Certainly do, if your ears are shut, but your hart, wide open. Definitely do, if your sight gets cloudy and you often need to walk away. And please do, if your chest sometimes burns, and you're looking for some new air to breath.

This writing is practically meant for everybody, but mostly, for the curious ones. Still, this is about everything, and yet about nothing at all, so do not expect something from it; it is not about me nor about you, but more about what makes me, me, and thus what makes you, you. In this writing the author is simply trying to highlight what we are missing out; everything that is actually here, but that we rather choose not to hear.

The style of the writing is similar of that of a conversation between a teacher and a student of Zen. Both, walking around, sitting, and pondering about the wild thoughts of the insatiable self, together. The writing is constructed in the way of a chronological dialogue; it describes from beginning till the end, the happenings inside of the wondering mind of the student and introduces the insights of the teacher in relation to these.

The telling is inspired on one experience from the author while just sitting on a bench. It took place nearby a Zen Buddhist monastery where the author was staying as a guest, on a colorful spring season of a northern country. The content in this book does not require any imagination from the reader, because the story is not fictitious. Everything told in this story truly happened, just probably not in the way we would expect. The one thing really needed to follow the message written herein, is curiosity and reading with a settled mind; if we hesitate, we blink, and when we blink, we lose!

By reading this small book we are making contact with THAT, that is hiding behind the self; we split these two for an instant, in order to take an opportunity to observe the thoughts and their different wrappings. In this way, we get a chance to crawl back to the source of what is producing them. This, so that we see the way in which this is related with everything, what also makes us more attentive to what surrounds it. If looking hard within, we find our teacher; when listening hard, we won't need to look outside anymore; we could reencounter this, perhaps… THIS! what we have not lost!
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。
